Places to Go on Christmas Day
First up: the local park. I know, I know—it’s cold. But have you ever walked through an empty park on Christmas morning? It’s hauntingly beautiful. The only sounds are your boots crunching snow and a distant dog barking at a squirrel.
Bonus points if you find a bench and just sit there for five minutes. You might feel a weird, peaceful loneliness. Or you’ll just get a cold butt. Either way, it’s a story.
If you’re near any water—a lake, a river, even a big pond—go there. The reflection of the gray sky on still water is pure mood. Plus, no one is there to judge your questionable holiday sweater.
