Finsbury Park Station to Stansted Airport
You’ve got time? Brilliant. Finsbury Park station has a few coffee shops. Grab a flat white. Or a pasty. Fuel up for the journey ahead.
Fun fact: the area around the station has a massive park (hence the name). If you’re early, take a lap. Stretch your legs. Maybe avoid the suspicious-looking pigeons. They’ve got an attitude.
But seriously, don’t wander too far. The train doesn’t wait for Instagram photo shoots.
The Actual Ride: What to Expect
The train will feel like a rocket compared to the Tube. It’s quieter. Less crowded. You’ll find a seat, I promise. Unless it’s 8 AM on a Monday. Then all bets are off.
Look out the window. You’ll zoom past green fields, little towns, and the occasional confused cow. It’s a nice little preview of the countryside you’ll soon be flying over.
And the best part? The train drops you inside the airport terminal. No bus. No awkward walk through a car park. Just step off and follow the signs to Check-In. Magic.
