Great Great Grandchildren of Queen Victoria
Okay, here’s where it gets really fun. Victoria didn’t just spawn monarchs. She spawned eccentrics.
Take Prince Philip (Queen Elizabeth’s husband). His DNA also traces back to Victoria. He was her great-great-grandson from the Greek side. Inbreeding? Let’s call it “strategic family planning.”
There’s a whole heap of German princes and Italian dukes who are great-great-grandchildren. Most of them have names like “Karl-Friedrich-Ernst-Ludwig” and live in castles that are drafty in winter.
One of them, Prince Ernst August of Hanover (Victoria’s great-great-grandson), has a reputation for being a bit of a party animal. He married Princess Caroline of Monaco. Talk about a soap opera.

The Absolute Mad Lad
My personal favorite? Prince Michael of Kent. He’s a direct great-great-grandson. He once said Queen Victoria was “a very interesting character.” Understatement of the century, mate.
There’s also Lord Ivar Mountbatten. He’s the first member of the extended royal family to come out as gay and marry his partner. Victoria would have needed smelling salts. Good for him!
