Is the Victoria Line Working Today
Every Londoner knows the ritual. You check TfL’s website, you squint at the app. Then you pray to the gods of public transport that the little silver line isn’t glowing red with delays.
Is it working? That’s like asking if your Wi-Fi is actually working. The answer is usually “sort of,” “maybe,” or “ha, good one.”
The Usual Suspects
If it’s a Tuesday at 8:47 AM, you can bet your bottom pound that something is up. Signal failure at Walthamstow Central? Classic. “Customer incident” at Oxford Circus? Of course.
And don’t even get me started on “severe delays due to a person on the track.” That phrase makes me want to crawl back into bed. You know that feeling, right?
