Physical Fitness Test for the Navy
Start small. Do three sets of push-ups and sit-ups every other day. Run a mile at a comfortable pace, then add a quarter-mile each week. Don’t forget to stretch—your hamstrings will thank you later. And practice the test exactly as it happens: push-ups, rest a minute, sit-ups, rest a minute, then run. This builds muscle memory.
Also, hydrate. Like, a lot. Two days before the test, drink water until your pee is clear. Then drink more. Dehydration is the enemy of good push-ups. Trust me—I once saw a guy pass out during the sit-up portion. It was not a good look.
