Once we hit rounds three, four, and five, things get real. This is when the Premier League giants enter the fray. For these games, tickets usually go on sale about three to four weeks before the match. But here’s the kicker: the exact date is a tangled web.

Clubs have to wait for the TV broadcasters to pick their matches. Yes, your Saturday 3pm kick-off might suddenly become a Friday night TV special, pushing the ticket sale date back. It’s like the FA Cup is playing a game of “guess the date” with your wallet.

Your best bet? Sign up for the club’s newsletter. I know, another email to ignore, but this one will ping you the second tickets drop. You might also need a membership to buy early—fancy that. It’s a bit like paying for a VIP pass to a queue.

The Quarter-Finals and Semi-Finals: The Wembley Dream

Now we’re talking. The semi-finals are played at Wembley Stadium, which is basically a cathedral of football. These tickets usually go on sale two to three weeks before the match. The FA tends to announce the sale date after the quarter-final draw is done, so keep your eyes peeled.

And here’s a funny thing: Wembley is huge, but it sells out fast. Why? Because everyone wants to say they “went to Wembley.” You’ll be fighting off fans from both clubs, neutrals, and people who just want a photo with the arch. Set an alarm.

Oh, and if you’re traveling from far away? Book your train tickets after the sale, not before. Nothing worse than owning a ticket to a match you can’t reach because your train got cancelled. Trust me, I learned that the hard way.
