Call the Midwife Cast Series 1

Call the Midwife Cast Series 1の注目ポイントを分かりやすくまとめてご紹介します。

First, we have Jenny Lee, played by the luminous Jessica Raine. She’s our wide-eyed guide, a young nurse who arrives in Poplar thinking she knows everything. Spoiler: she doesn’t, and watching her learn is pure joy.

Then there’s Nurse Trixie Franklin, played by Helen George. Trixie is the absolute queen of glamour—even when she’s elbow-deep in a home birth. She’s the friend we all want: fierce, funny, and hiding a heart of gold behind a perfect red lip.

And don’t even get me started on Chummy, played by Miranda Hart. This woman is a gentle giant of pure love and clumsiness. Her journey from awkward trainee to confident midwife will have you ugly-crying one minute and laughing out loud the next.

The Glue That Holds Poplar Together

Of course, we can’t forget the nuns. Think they’re all stern and silent? Think again. Sister Julienne (Jenny Agutter) is the calm, wise mother you always wished you had. Her quiet strength is basically superhero-level.

And then there’s Sister Evangelina (Pam Ferris). She’s a force of nature, a walking, talking cup of strong tea with a side of sass. She’ll bark orders and then cradle a newborn with the tenderest hands. It’s magic.

Let’s not leave out the men: the lovely PC Peter Noakes (Ben Caplan) and the always-patient Dr. Turner (Stephen McGann). They’re not just background props; they’re part of the village that makes this show so rich.
