Rodney Trotter Only Fools and Horses
Rodney Trotter isn’t a hero. He’s not a villain. He’s the guy who buys the milk, checks the post, and reminds his brother that Ferraris don’t fit through a standard double-glazed door. He’s the everyman.
We love him because he’s the part of us that knows better but tags along anyway. He’s the friend who says "I told you so" while helping you pick up the pieces. He’s the guy who dreams, fails, dusts himself off, and then buys a dodgy microwave from a bloke in a van.
And isn’t that the whole point? Life is a pile of scrapped schemes and missed connections. But if you can handle it with a bottle of Blue Nun and a deep, long sigh, you’re doing just fine. You’re practically a Trotter.
So next time you’re stuck in traffic, or your brilliant project gets kiboshed, or your brother sells your good coat, just take a breath. Think of Rodney. Give the camera a good, hard stare. And remember: at least you didn’t have to live in a high-rise with a three-wheeled car. Probably.
