Erin and Pete the Office
Did they make it? The finale. Honestly, I’m still not 100% sure. We see them together, but it’s not a big Jim-and-Pam wedding montage. It’s just… them. Holding hands. Looking happy.
Maybe that’s the point. Not every love story needs a grand speech. Sometimes it’s just two people in a boring office, choosing each other. That’s beautiful, right?
Or maybe the writers just ran out of time. Who knows? But I choose to believe they’re out there, somewhere. Pete still making terrible jokes. Erin still laughing too loud. Perfect.
The Last Word
So pour another cup of coffee. Think about Erin and Pete. They weren’t the main event. They were the B-plot that became a cozy A-plot. And we needed that.
In a show full of cringe, they were a soft place to land. No drama. No sabotage. Just two nice people who liked each other. What a radical concept, huh?
Thanks for coming to my TED Talk. Now go rewatch the teapot scene. I dare you not to smile.
