Where Does Ba Fly to from Gatwick
Now here’s where it gets weird. BA flies from Gatwick to Mauritius. Yes, that tiny island off the coast of Africa, famous for dodos and ridiculously turquoise water. It’s a direct flight, too—eleven hours of sheer luxury. But my personal favorite is Reykjavik in Iceland. Why would BA fly to a place where the main attraction is freezing your face off and eating fermented shark? Because it’s popular, apparently. I guess people love a good contradiction: Gatwick drizzle to Icelandic fog.
The North American B-Team
Forget New York for a second. BA will take you to Calgary (Canada’s cowboy capital), San Diego (eternal spring), and Vancouver (mountains and rain?). There’s also Fort Lauderdale, which is basically Miami’s less glamorous cousin, but hey, the beaches are the same. (Side note: why does BA fly to Fort Lauderdale but not, say, Seattle from Gatwick? I have questions. So should you.) It’s like they’re trying to fill every gap that Heathrow forgot.
