Is Richard Branson in Casino Royale
Think back to the Miami airport sequence. Bond is chasing the bomb-maker, Carlos. He’s wearing that tacky blue shirt. Absolute chaos.
Just before Bond gets on the plane, he walks through the security line. And there, in the background, is a guy who looks suspiciously like Sir Richard.
He’s bald. He has a beard. He’s wearing a casual shirt. He even has that specific “I own an island” grin.
You blink, and he’s gone. It’s a classic cinematic sleight of hand. Or is it just a guy who forgot his boarding pass?
The Smoking Gun (Or Is It a Vape Pen?)
Let’s look at the evidence. Richard Branson is a well-known aviation nut. He owns an airline. The scene takes place at an airport. Coincidence? I think not.
Also, Virgin Atlantic had a cameo in the film. There is a whole product placement thing going on. Branson loves that sort of cross-promotional wizardry.
But here is where it gets sticky. Bond producers are notoriously secretive. If Branson was really in it, wouldn’t he have shouted it from the rooftops? The man loves a PR stunt more than he loves a good gin and tonic.

The Official Word (Brace Yourself)
I did some digging. I put on my detective hat. It was a very stylish hat, thank you very much.
According to IMDb and the film’s official credits, the man in the airport is not Richard Branson. His name is Simon Taylor. He is a background extra.
Yes, I know. It’s boring. It’s the cinematic equivalent of finding out your lottery ticket was a dud. Simon Taylor is apparently a very good-looking background actor who just happens to share a striking resemblance to a rocketing entrepreneur.
But wait. Don’t put your coffee down yet. There is a real Branson cameo in the Bond universe. You just have to look in a different movie.
