Restaurants on Elvis Presley Blvd
Not every restaurant on this boulevard is fancy. Some are gloriously tacky. There’s a place called Bubba’s Grease Pit (I might be making that up, but you get the vibe). They serve deep-fried Twinkies named “Love Me Tender Twinkies.”
Another spot offers a “Hound Dog” hot dog. It’s smothered in chili, cheese, and crushed potato chips. The menu says it’s “lickin’ good.” The health inspector says it’s a slight concern. It’s perfect.
Don’t skip the gas station convenience store. It sells “Elvis Booze Balls.” That’s a real thing. Peanut butter, powdered sugar, and bourbon rolled into a golf ball. It’s street-level luxury.
Where the Burger Wears Sunglasses
Dyer’s Burgers is a must. They fry their patties in the same grease used since 1912. No, that’s not a typo. The grease is filtered, not replaced. It’s a sacred vat.
Elvis ate there when he was a teenager. The burgers are thin and crispy on the edges. The buns are griddled in beef tallow. It tastes like a time machine covered in salt.
Mexican Restaurants On Elvis Presley
The sign outside says: “We don’t make ‘em pretty, we make ‘em right.” The counter has a groove worn into it from decades of elbows. It’s the last place a cardiologist would recommend. It’s the first place you should go.
