Name of Bird in Lion King
Let’s face it: Simba had a fat, lazy lion as his guardian. Timon and Pumbaa had a tick-free jungle. Zazu? He had to fly into the Elephant Graveyard to scold hyenas. That’s like a mailman delivering bills to a prison full of hungry dogs. Insanity.
And don’t forget the scene where Scar literally traps Zazu in a bone cage. The bird just waits there, probably mentally composing his resignation letter. “I hereby quit being the royal majordomo, effective immediately…and forever.” But he didn’t! He stuck around for the finale. Loyalty level: 100.
So next time you watch The Lion King, give Zazu a salute. He’s the little hornbill who could—and did—while wearing that ridiculously cute little blue uniform. Circle of life? More like circle of overwork.
And if you ever see a red-billed hornbill at the zoo, just whisper, “Thank you for your service.” They’ll probably nod. Or eat a beetle. Same difference.
