Bread Flour and Self Rising Flour
Bread flour is chill. Keep it in a cool, dry place—like a pantry or a cupboard. It’ll last about 6-8 months. If you buy in bulk, toss it in an airtight container or even the freezer. Flour freezes fine, and it kills any sneaky weevil eggs. You’re welcome for that nightmare fuel.
Self-rising flour is a bit more demanding. Because it has baking powder mixed in, moisture or heat can activate the leavening too early. Use it within 6 months, and keep it sealed like a secret. If it smells weird or clumps up, toss it. Your biscuits deserve better.
