Are Post Offices Open Easter Friday
Here’s where the irony kicks in. Easter weekend is when everyone suddenly remembers they need to mail Easter cards, return online shopping, or send a last-minute package to grandma. Yet the post office goes dark. Typical.
I get it—we’re all spoiled by Amazon Prime and the assumption that mail runs 24/7. But Good Friday is one of those weird gray-area holidays where your brain says, “Shouldn’t they be open? It’s not even December!” And your local post office says, “Nope, we’re eating chocolate bunnies. See you Monday.”
If you’re reading this right now on a Friday morning, I have one piece of advice: stop Googling and find a self-service kiosk. Some post offices have them in the lobby, and they’re open 24/7. (Unless the door is broken. Don’t ask how I know.)

What About Easter Sunday and Monday?
Let’s tackle the whole weekend while we’re here. Easter Sunday is a no-brainer: post offices are closed. It’s a day for peeps and family drama, not stamps. Monday, however, is a different story. Most post offices are back to regular hours on Easter Monday because it’s not a federal holiday.
But check your local branch. Some smaller towns treat Easter Monday as a “ghost day” with reduced hours because, well, they can. And if you live in Massachusetts or a few other states that observe Patriots’ Day on that same Monday? Good luck—you’re in a parallel universe of mail chaos.
