If you haven’t screamed at your TV during Netflix’s You Season 4, you’ve missed Keeper at her most deliciously unhinged. She plays Gemma, a rich, pretentious “writer” within a circle of London elites who are, frankly, all secretly terrible. Keeper delivers lines about her “memoir” and “curated life” with a venomous dryness that makes her the perfect foil to Penn Badgley’s Joe Goldberg.

Practical tip: If you’re hosting a watch party for You Season 4, serve cheap champagne in fancy glasses and play a drinking game every time Gemma name-drops a private club. You’ll be giggling by episode two. Keeper’s performance is a Mona Lisa of smugness—you can’t look away, even as you cringe.

Beyond the Soap: Vigil and Darker Waters

Switching gears entirely, Keeper joined the cast of BBC’s tense submarine thriller Vigil for its second season. Here, she’s a far cry from a gossipy London socialite. Playing Paige, a young officer navigating the claustrophobic, high-stakes world of military intelligence, she brings a raw vulnerability that is genuinely unsettling. The shift from loud, colorful Louise to quiet, haunted Paige shows off her dramatic range.

It’s worth noting this role was filmed back-to-back with You—a testament to her chameleon-like discipline. One day she’s in a designer dress, the next in a naval uniform. That adaptability is why casting directors are now putting her on every “rising star” list.
