What's Half of 1/4Th Cup
I’m not joking—I still mentally freeze when a recipe says “1/3 cup, halved.” That’s a nightmare. (Spoiler: it’s 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons. See? Nightmare.) But for 1/4 cup, it’s simple. You have permission to never forget this again. Write it on a sticky note. Tattoo it on your forearm. Program it into your smart speaker. “Half of 1/4 cup is 2 tablespoons.”
And if you do forget, that’s okay. We all have those nights. The ones where you’re covered in flour, your dog is licking the mixing bowl, and you’re convinced the universe is testing you. It’s not. The universe just wants you to measure twice and cry once.
So go forth. Halve those quarters. Make those cookies. And if a recipe ever asks for half of a 1/4 teaspoon? Pray. Because that’s a whole other article—and a tiny pinch of chaos.
