Let’s rewind. The episode is called “Entropy.” It’s a doozy. Morgan is dealing with a cat-and-mouse game with a serial killer named Scratch.

Spoiler alert: he survives. But he gets a bad case of the ‘I want a normal life’ feels. His wife, Savannah, gives birth to their son, Hank.

Right there in the hospital hallway, Morgan looks at Garcia. He looks at his newborn. And we all scream into our pillows because we know what’s coming.

The ‘I’m Out’ Speech

It’s classic Morgan. He doesn’t just vanish. He gives a whole speech about how his heart is now “full.” Ugh, stop being so sweet.

Hotch gives him a manly nod. JJ cries. And Garcia? Oh, Garcia. She falls apart. It’s the most emotional goodbye since you had to leave your college roommate.

He walks out the door of the BAU. And he doesn’t come back. Poof. Gone like a cool breeze on a hot summer day.
