Should I Cut Strawberry Runners
If you live in a cold climate (like I do), runners are trouble in late summer. New plants that root in August might not survive winter because they’re too young. Cut them early.
Also, if your plant looks sad—yellow leaves, small berries—cut every single runner immediately. It’s begging for mercy. Give it a break. Let it heal.
