How Many Parks Are in London
According to the London Assembly, there are over 3,000 parks and green spaces within Greater London. That’s a number that’s hard to wrap your head around, isn’t it?
To put it in perspective, that’s more parks than you’d find in most major cities worldwide. You could visit a different park every single day for nearly ten years and still not see them all.
What Counts as a Park?
This is where it gets interesting, because the definition is wonderfully loose. A park can be anything from a royal deer park to a community garden squeezed between two houses.
Even a small triangular patch of grass where a street splits counts. Suddenly, your daily walk probably goes through two or three “parks” without you even noticing.
It’s like London is a giant patchwork quilt of green, with every stitch counted. And honestly, that feels pretty cool when you think about it.
