What Was the Route of the Titanic
The Titanic’s route literally ended in the ocean. The ship sank about 370 miles southeast of Newfoundland, Canada.

Today, the wreck sits on the ocean floor at a depth of about 12,500 feet. That’s deeper than the Grand Canyon is tall. If you ever go scuba diving there… well, you won’t, because the pressure would crush you like a soda can.
But the route lives on in memory. The final destination—New York—was never reached. The passengers who survived were rescued by the Carpathia and taken to safety. They arrived at Pier 59, but without the grand fanfare. Just a lot of sad, cold, grateful people.
