What Are Chocolate Truffles Made Of
It all started in the 1920s when French patisserie Auguste Escoffier created the first chocolate truffle. He named them after the fungus that grows underground, due to their similar shape and mysterious allure. And just like that, the chocolate truffle was born!
The classic recipe consists of dark chocolate, heavy cream, and a pinch of sugar. But modern-day chocolatiers like to get creative with unique flavor combinations, like raspberry or espresso. Who knew chocolate could be so adventurous?
