The Greek Meze 2 Sidcup Photos
The photos of the katikakia (yes, that’s a real dish) are a thing of beauty. It’s basically peppers and tomatoes stuffed with rice and herbs. In the pictures, they look so perfectly plump and roasted that they resemble little edible footballs. If you do not take a photo of them, did you even eat at Meze 2? The answer is no. It's a rule.
Surprising fact: Greeks consume more olive oil per person than any other country. You can see this in the photos. Everything glistens. It’s like the entire menu has been lightly sprayed with liquid gold. The bread in the pictures looks less like bread and more like a sponge for delicious fat.

Don’t Skip the Lamb
The photos of the lamb kleftiko are dangerous. It’s slow-cooked until it falls apart. In one shot, a fork is gently pulling a strand of meat, and it basically disintegrates with the grace of a ballet dancer. The lamb looks so tender that I’m pretty sure it could be eaten with a stern look.
Legend has it that the chef slow-cooks the lamb so long that it forgets it was ever a sheep. If you look closely at the photo, you can see the steam rising like a tiny ghost of deliciousness. It’s the closest thing to a food hug you will ever see in digital form.
