Kaycee didn’t just rule the movie musical world. She popped up on a bunch of TV shows, too, bringing that same bubbly vibe. She appeared on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody as a student named Jessica. It was a quick, fun cameo that reminded you she could hang with the best of the Disney sitcom crew.

She also had a role in Hannah Montana—because why not? She played a girl named Amber on an episode, and honestly, she fit right in with Miley’s crazy antics. These guest spots were like little Easter eggs for fans. You’d be watching, and then BAM—there’s Martha Cox, making everything 10% more delightful.

Beyond Disney: Growing Up on Screen

After the High School Musical mania died down, Kaycee kept busy. She showed up in the family film The Last Dance (not the documentary, the other one), and she even did voice work for video games. She also made appearances on shows like So Little Time and the reality series Dancing with the Stars—wait, no, she didn’t dance on that show, but she did guest on The Bonnie Hunt Show and other talk shows.

Let’s not forget her role in the direct-to-DVD movie The 12 Disasters of Christmas. Yes, you read that right: a disaster movie set at Christmas. Kaycee played a news reporter, and it’s exactly as gloriously cheesy as it sounds. She committed to the campy fun, because that’s just who she is.
