Most Famous Bridges of the World
Japan’s Akashi Kaikyō Bridge is the longest suspension bridge in the world. It’s so long that it looks like a guitar string stretched across the ocean.
It can handle earthquakes and typhoons. In fact, during construction, a massive earthquake hit, and the bridge just stretched a little bit and kept going. Flexible, literally and metaphorically.
At night, it’s lit up in a rainbow of colors. It looks like a carnival ride for giants. Someone needs to add a roller coaster on top, but I’ll wait.
The Vacation: Charles Bridge
Prague’s Charles Bridge is the one you walk slowly because you’re taking in the 30 statues lining the path. It’s like a museum that you cross over a river.
Built in 1357, it’s got some serious history. They say touching a specific bronze plaque brings good luck. I touched it. I still lost my keys. Your mileage may vary.
Street musicians play jazz, artists sell watercolors, and lovers lock padlocks on the rails. It’s romantic, chaotic, and smells like chimney cake. Perfect.
