Print Address on Envelope Google Docs
First, you need to open a new document. I know, groundbreaking stuff. But here is the first trap everyone falls into: don’t just type the address in the middle of the page. You need to set up a template, or you’ll be fighting with margins for an hour.
Go to Insert > Drawing > New. I know, it feels weird. But trust the process. In that little drawing box, create a text box. This gives you the freedom to drag the address exactly where you want it. Think of it as a virtual sticker you can slap onto your page.
The “Bleeding Edge” Trick for Alignment
Now, measure your envelope. Seriously. Grab a ruler and eyeball it. A standard #10 envelope is about 4.125 inches tall. You want your address to sit roughly 2.5 inches from the left edge and 2 inches from the top.
In your drawing, you can use the Align tool or just drag the text box manually. It’s a little fiddly, but the payoff is huge. You want that address to look like it was professionally printed, not like you threw a dart at the page.
