How Many Series of Fawlty Towers

How Many Series of Fawlty Towersの全体像を分かりやすくまとめてご紹介します。

Let’s geek out on the stats. Twelve episodes. That’s six hours of TV total.

Fawlty Towers - BBC America Series

Most British sitcoms run for dozens of episodes. Only Fools and Horses did 64. Dad’s Army did 80.

Fawlty Towers did twelve. And it’s considered one of the greatest comedies ever.

The BBC ranked it number one in the “100 Greatest British Television Programmes.” Twelve episodes beat everything.

Cleese once joked: “We got it right twice. That’s enough.” Love that.

Why Two Series Works

Think about it. No time for the show to get stale. No weird seasons where Basil becomes nice.

You can watch both series in one lazy afternoon. Then you want more. That’s the trick.

It leaves you hungry. It’s like a perfect, tiny, angry meal.

If there were five series, you’d skip episodes. With two, you know every line by heart.

That’s the secret sauce. Short and brilliant.
