Isaac Newton Scientific Contributions

Isaac Newton Scientific Contributionsの概要と注目ポイントを一挙に解説しました。

Let’s start with the big one: gravity. Everyone knew stuff fell down. Big whoop, right?

But Newton asked: why does the Moon stay up there while an apple comes down here? He connected the dots.

He realized it’s the same force. The Moon is basically falling toward Earth, just missing it sideways. That’s an orbit. Wild, huh?

He wrote it down as the Law of Universal Gravitation. Every speck of dust pulls on every other speck. You are currently pulling on a star in a galaxy far, far away.

Okay, it’s a tiny pull. But still. You’re basically a minor celebrity in the cosmos.

Three Rules That Rocked the World

Newton didn’t stop at gravity. He laid down the Three Laws of Motion. These are the VIP rules for how everything moves.

First Law: An object at rest stays at rest. An object in motion stays in motion. Unless something pokes it.

This sounds obvious now, but people thought you needed a force to keep things moving. Newton said, “Nope. They’re just lazy unless pushed.”

Second Law: Force equals mass times acceleration. F=ma. This is the equation that launches rockets and crushes cars in a crash test.

It’s elegant. It says the harder you push, the faster it goes. But if it’s heavy, you’ll need a bigger shove. Common sense, but written in math.

Third Law: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

This is why a gun kicks back. Or why a rocket burns gas downward to fly upward. You can’t push anything without it pushing you back. It’s like the universe’s version of “no take-backs.”
