Setting up Unifi Access Point
First, take a deep breath. Open the box. Inside, you’ll find the access point, a PoE injector (that little power brick with an Ethernet port), and a mounting kit. No manual? Don’t panic. Unifi assumes you’re basically a genius. Or they just hate paper. Either way, you’re on your own—but in a good way.
Plug the PoE injector into the wall. Then, connect an Ethernet cable from your router to the “LAN” port on the injector. Finally, run another cable from the “PoE” port on the injector to your access point. Voilà! The LED on the AP should turn white. If it’s blinking orange, don’t scream. It’s just hungry for configuration. It’s fine.
